Advisor Approved Program of Study

The Advisor Approved Program of Study (AAPS) is a document that indicates what courses you are going to take to complete the requirements for your graduate degree.  It is essential that you consult with your academic advisor in planning your degree program. You may submit an AAPS form at any time after having been admitted to graduate study in a degree program. Usually the AAPS is submitted to the Graduate College before 14 hours have been completed.

The Advisor Approved Program of Study is available in both PDF and Word.

List the courses you intend to take and when you intend to take them. In some cases you might have to estimate when you think a course will be offered.

It is essential that you consult with your advisor before completing the AAPS form. In most cases that will be Dr. Bourhis, the Director of the MSAS program or his Adminisrative Assistant, David Pennington.

After you have completed the form, submit it to your advisor for signatory approval. The form will then be forwarded to the Graduate College for final approval.

You will receive a copy of the approved AAPS from the Graduate College.

If changes need to be made to the original AAPS, complete and submit a Request for Change of Advisor Approved Program of Study.
