The Master of Science in Administrative Studies is designed for mature individuals who have professional experience and are highly motivated to pursue an advanced degree. Meeting the minimum standards for student preparation will not guarantee acceptance into the program. All students will go through a screening process that will include a review by the Program Director and Program Advisory Committee for the program. A completed application for admission to the program must include all of the following:
- The applicant must have received a baccalaureate degree from a college or university accredited by agencies recognized by MSU;
- The applicant must have attained an overall grade point average (GPA) of at least a 2.75 on a 4.00 scale, or 2.75 grade point average on a 4.00 scale for the last 60 hours of academic course work.
- The applicant must submit evidence of three years of relevant work experience. A current copy of the applicant's resume, documenting relevant work experience is sufficient.
- The applicant should submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) scores;
- Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from individuals able to speak to their academic and professional abilities and potential to succeed in the program.
- All additional University and Graduate College requirements for admission to a degree program will apply.
- You cannot be "formally" considered for admission to the MSAS program until all of these materials have been received.
